Accessories FAQ’s

Do metal accessories rust or corrode?The U-pins are made from durable steel and are designed for long-lasting performance in outdoor conditions. While they are robust and ideal for securing reinforcement mesh into firm ground, like all steel left in the soil over time, some surface rust may develop naturally. Their construction ensures they maintain superior ground anchorage and functionality even with extended outdoor use.
What do I need accessories for?Many products will work without accessories, however mats often benefit from being cable tied together or pegged into soft ground. For grass and gravel parking, we recommend our bay markers.
Are accessories included when I purchase a mat?Accessories can be purchased alongside many products by choosing from the drop down menu on the product page, however, they are not included as standard.
How many pegs/ties do I need with grass mats?We would recommend 4 pegs and 10 cable ties per mat as a guideline, but more may be required on soft or sloped ground.
Can the metal u-pins be used on all surfaces?Our metal u-pins can be used in soil and grass.
Will these accessories create trip hazards?If the accessories are installed correctly and are flush to the mat/ground, the risk of them being a trip hazard is minimal.
