Would your products be suitable on a golf course in the winter months?Yes. Our grass protection mats are designed for high-traffic areas and can be used throughout winter for walkers, trollies and golf buggies.
Will the mats affect drainage or cause pooling?The open-cell design in our products allows water to drain naturally, preventing pooling and helping the ground to breathe.
How long before the mats blend in?During growing season, the grass grows and the mats blend in within a few weeks, but this may take longer in colder months. Once they blend in, they are difficult to see.
Are these mats suitable for golf buggies?Yes, they are strong and stable enough to support golf buggies and light maintenance vehicles.
When is the best time to install the mats?The best time to install grass mats is Spring/Summer/Autumn when the grass can knit through quickly, but they can be installed at any time of year if needed.
Do I need underlay?Underlay is always beneficial, especially if the surface is already muddy, or prone to becoming excessively soft during the winter months. However, the mats can be laid directly onto existing grass and secured with pegs. If the surface is already muddy, or prone to becoming excessively soft during the winter months, underlay mesh is beneficial.
