Geocells are a cellular confinement system that are used for a range of erosion control solutions. Often used in construction and engineering, they can be used to stabilise soil, improve load support and help with slope erosion control. The honeycomb-like structure is filled with soil, gravel or other infill materials to create a strong sub base. Geocells can also be utilised for tree root protection in areas where construction or heavy vehicle loads could damage the roots beneath the ground.
