Terram HDPE Geocell 100/445 is a three-dimensional cellular confinement system designed to improve ground stability through soil confinement and load distribution. With a 100mm cell depth and 445mm weld spacing, this variant provides erosion control and light-to-moderate load support with a larger cell aperture than 356mm systems.
Manufactured from UV-stabilised high density polyethylene (HDPE), the expanded honeycomb structure confines infill material such as soil, sand or aggregate, reducing lateral movement and helping to prevent rutting, settlement and surface erosion.
How It Works
Once expanded and secured using steel Geocell U-Pins, the interconnected cells retain the selected infill material within each compartment. The 445mm weld spacing provides a larger confinement footprint per cell, offering efficient material usage while maintaining ground reinforcement performance.
Perforated cell walls allow drainage and vegetation growth where a green finish is required.
Key Characteristics
- Cell depth: 100mm
- Cell weld spacing: 445mm
- Expanded panel size: approx. 2.5m x 8.3m
- Manufactured from UV-stabilised HDPE
- Perforated cell walls for drainage and root penetration
- Helps reduce erosion and differential settlement
Installation Overview
Geocells are supplied collapsed and expanded on site before being anchored and infilled with suitable material. Ground preparation and structural design should be based on loading requirements and soil conditions.
Where required, separation or stabilisation layers such as Terram T1000 or Terram Bodgrid GC30 may be incorporated within the build-up.
