Terram HDPE Geocell 150/445 is a three-dimensional cellular confinement system designed for enhanced ground stabilisation and load distribution. With a 150mm cell depth and 445mm weld spacing, this variant provides structural reinforcement with a larger cell aperture compared to 356mm systems.
Manufactured from UV-stabilised high density polyethylene (HDPE), the expanded honeycomb structure confines infill materials such as aggregate, soil or sand, reducing lateral movement and improving sub-base integrity over weaker or variable ground conditions.
How It Works
Once expanded and anchored using steel Geocell U-Pins, the interconnected cells confine the selected infill material. The 445mm weld spacing provides a larger cell footprint, allowing efficient use of selected infill while maintaining load distribution and erosion resistance.
The perforated cell walls allow drainage and root penetration where a vegetated finish is required.
Key Characteristics
- Cell depth: 150mm
- Cell weld spacing: 445mm
- Expanded panel size: approx. 2.5m x 8.3m
- Manufactured from UV-stabilised HDPE
- Perforated cell walls for drainage and vegetation support
- Improves load distribution over weaker subgrades
Installation Overview
Geocells are supplied collapsed and expanded on site before being secured and infilled with suitable material. Pavement design and ground preparation should be based on anticipated loading and soil classification.
Where required, separation or stabilisation layers such as Terram T1000 or Terram Bodgrid GC30 may be incorporated within the build-up.
