Solid Top Gym Mat Edging – Female (16mm System)

Important: This edging is only compatible with our
Interlocking 16mm Solid Top Gym Mats
and our
Interlocking Rubber Garage Tiles.

The female ramped edging piece is designed to slot over the protruding connection lugs on the mat edge, creating a safe and gradual transition where the flooring ends.

Ramped edging is typically used where matting finishes mid-room, at garage door openings, or where additional clearance is required to prevent trip hazards.

Male & Female Orientation

This system uses two edging types:

• Male edging – contains a protruding connector and attaches to the straight edge side of the mat.
• Female edging – receives the mat’s protruding connection lugs and locks over them.

The two edging types run perpendicular to one another to match the opposing interlock directions of the mat system.

Corner Integration

Each edging strip includes a built-in corner tab underneath. If a corner connection is not required, the tab can be removed easily using a sharp blade.

Installation Guidance

If you are covering a full room, trimming mats to fit flush against the wall is often preferable to using ramped edging, as edging is typically only required on exposed edges.
