In 2023 alone, we delivered to:

Large Stockist

Our largest install that we completed in 2023 was for a National Trust site at Lacock Abbey, with 2,880m2 of mesh for an overflow car park.

Our largest supply only contract was for Dinas Powys Golf Club - over 4,000 square metres of golf pathway mats!

UK Exporter

We shipped over 39,000 of our rubber mats into Europe (non-UK) and the US last year.

Recycled Material

Over 800 tonnes of recycled rubber has been used in the products that we have sold in 2023, saving vasts amount of rubber from being taken to landfill.

We have recycled over 86 tonnes of plastic through the sale of our grass reinforcement mesh.

Grassmats Limited is led by Managing Director, Lee Scott. 

Lee qualified as a chartered accountant and tax adviser with KPMG, working in an M&A environment, before making the switch into the ground protection and reinforcement industry. The Grassmats business has been successfully trading since the early 2000's and after a group reorganisation in 2020 (separating Grassmats Ltd from its sister company, Thermmark Limited), the company has grown significantly. 

Lee's mantra is to keep things simple, efficient, and above all else, ensure that Grassmats is delivering top service to all customers.

Paul Munday, Technical Sales Manager

Paul Munday is Technical Sales Manager, at Grassmats Limited.

Paul is widely regarded as one of the industry leading experts in the ground reinforcement industry. With over 30+ years experience in advising customers on ground protection products, Paul has seen it all and been involved in the development of many of the products that are sold across the industry. 

Paul is happy to visit sites to assess ground conditions and provide feedback on whether our products may be suitable, or suggest what ground works might need to be completed prior to any installation.

Our Office Manager at Grassmats is Matt Sample. 

This certainly confuses things when someone gets in touch to ask for a mat sample!

Matt has been with Grassmats for nearly five years, bringing organisation and efficiency to every aspect of our office operations. As Office Manager, he oversees everything from order processing to customer support, ensuring a smooth experience from start to finish. Matt’s dedication and practical thinking helps keep Grassmats running like clockwork, and his friendly approach makes him a favorite among both our customers and team.

Matt started his career at Grassmats in a warehouse role, quickly developing an in-depth knowledge of our products and the needs of our customers. His hands-on experience gave him a unique perspective on our range, which he brings to his current role.

Matt is known for his genuine commitment to helping customers find the right solutions, and he combines his product knowledge with a friendly, approachable style that customers value. Whether it's answering questions or offering guidance, Matt is determined in making sure every customer has a great experience with Grassmats.

Sustainability

We are committed to providing ground protection solutions with a positive impact on our planet. Our rubber matting products are manufactured with a combination of natural rubber and recycled rubber & our reinforcement mesh and paver products are manufactured from recycled HDPE plastic.

Eco-Friendliness

Resurfacing is not always the most eco-friendly option and can bring problems with it (not to mention the expense!), whereas ground protection and reinforcement simply strengthens and enhances what’s already there, making it perfect for preserving landscapes, habitats, and nature.
