Solid Top Gym Mat Edging – Male (16mm System)

Important: This edging is only compatible with our
Interlocking 16mm Solid Top Gym Mats
and our
Interlocking Rubber Garage Tiles.

The male ramped edging piece features a protruding connector designed to attach to the straight edge side of the mat. It creates a safe and gradual transition where the flooring finishes.

Ramped edging is typically used where matting ends mid-room, at garage door openings, or where additional clearance is required to reduce trip hazards.

Male & Female Orientation

This system uses two edging types:

• Male edging – contains the protruding connector and attaches to the mat’s straight edge.
• Female edging – slots over the mat’s interlocking lugs.

The two edging types run perpendicular to one another to align with the opposing interlock directions of the mat system.

Corner Integration

Each edging strip includes a built-in corner tab underneath. If a corner connection is not required, this tab can be removed using a sharp blade.

Installation Guidance

If covering a full room, trimming mats to sit flush against the wall is often preferable. Ramped edging is typically only required on exposed perimeter edges.
