Introduction

We recently supplied a small amount of playground safety matting for Wichenford Millennium Green, covering a 21m2 area. It is a special site, created in the final years of the 20th century. A team headed by Professor Mervyn Mitchard bid for Lottery Fund to create a Millennium Green on the former recreation pitch. It has recently had a refurbishment and our matting was used to replace the previous thick bark surfacing.

Customer requirements

The parish council were searching for a safety surfacing solution that would maintain the aesthetic of their grassy play areas while offering the necessary impact protection for active students.
