Issue
Hillingdon Pentecostal Church required an existing grassed area to be reinforced so it could be used for overflow car parking during weekend services.
The area needed to remain as grass, while providing additional strength for vehicles using the space throughout the year. As the parking area would be used by cars, a robust reinforcement option was required to help protect the grass surface.
Solution
Grassmats installed Heavy Duty Grass Reinforcement Mesh across the existing grassed area.
The first installation covered approximately 260m². After the initial works were completed, the customer asked Grassmats to return and extend the reinforced area closer to the fence line. A second visit was arranged the following week, with a further 40m² of mesh installed.
This brought the total reinforced area to approximately 300m².
The mesh was installed over the existing grass to help create a stronger surface for vehicle use while retaining the natural appearance of the site. Over time, the grass will grow through and entangle with the mesh, helping to improve the long-term performance of the reinforced parking area.
